ATTACK ON KEIR HARDIE.
MEETING INTERRUPTED.
(Received March 25, 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, March 24. Suffragettes continuously interrupted Mr Keir Hardie's address to the Independent Labourites at Mancihe&ter, and characterised hun as "a miserable coward, who had betrayed the women's cause."
Many were ejeoted.. Mr Keir Hardie advocated the releaise of hunger strikers. There would, ha said, be more now at liberty but for the mad burning of Lady Wlute's house, which prevented the authorities appearing to yield to terrorism, LOCKED IN AND LOCKED OUT. WOMEN REFUSED ADMISSION TO CONFERENCE. (Received March 25, 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, March 24. Suffragettes, who were refused admission to the Labour Conference at Manchester imprisoned the delegates for half an hour iby chaining and padlocking the doors. Crowbars failed to break down the doors, and finally they had to be sawn through.
