It has remained for tiho Dunedin Star, a coruicitntiouc Liberal journal, to give the coup. <la grace —if we may so term it—to "that very ambitious, but ovcsT-estimated gentleman who aspiivs to le-aa tha discredited forces out of the wild-erneas. The Star deals with Mr Russell in a sort of paternal way. First it tells him .that 'he has ■ committed, a grievous . wrong. Then it admonishes him. And iina. ly it .says, "It is altogether too tomplicated a matter dealing with sue: a many-sided politician as this. If Mr Massey has'limitations, Mr Russe!]l has none —absolutely none." It would be supererogation on our part to add to this crushing denunciation. "Mr Eussdll has none—absolutely, nore!"
