Case against le mathn. (Received March 20, 8.10 a.m.) LONDON, March 19. lii the case in which the paper Le Matin apologised to Mr Herbert Samuel, Postmaster-General ? and Sir Rufus Isaacs, Attorney-General, for its criticism of them in connection with the Marconi contract, the plaintiffs denied the allegations made. .. Sir Rufus Isaacs stated that he bought in April last 10,000 in the American Marconi Company, which, is not financially interested in the British Company. He sold 1000 each of the shares to Mr Lloyd George and the Master of Elibank. He lost £I2OO, and the others a few hundred each. The defendants made a complete withdrawal. Judgment was for plaintiffs, with costs. INFRINGEMENT OF PATENT RIGHTS. t (Received Last Night, ,5.5 o'clock.) MELBOURNE, March 21. The High Court ha s granted the Marconi Company the right to inspect the Commonwealth wireless stations, in l connection with the action against the Commonwealth for the alleged infringement of the patent rights. Mr Justice Issacs dumurred, on the ground of granting an order that abolished secrecy, and mean* that guns and other war material could be inspected by anyone showing tliat a prima facie case of infringement was made out.
