TOWN HALL PICTURES, "RESTITUTION." "Restitution,""a powerful modern drama with an exciting plot, lias drawn good attendances at the Town Hall with the current change. The story depicts the crime of a lawyer who causes the death of his client and then becomes possessed of his fortune. As a sop to his con,science the lawyer adopts the dead man's son who, in after years, traces his fosterfather's crime. A sensational explosion, which results in, his own death, is caused by the lawyer when he finds himself detected. The programme includes, amongst other fine studies, two excellent scenics, Tokio, and Gen. tral Italy. To-night will be the last opportunity of witnessing this series. As the Town Hall Pictures do not show to-morrow night (Good Friday) the usual matinee will take place on Saturday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. "THE CRAVEN." Last night the T.-P. Electric Theatre was well filled by an appreciative audience, to witness the screening of the change of programme, when "The Craven," a Yitagraph feature, proved the main. item. "The' Derelict's Return" is also a very fine drama. "Orator Knight, the Cow Charmer" is a Thanliause'r comedy-drama, which will prove t specially attractive. "The Good for Nothing" is a .splendid study by tli? Lubin Company. Dick Evans, a farmer's son. being a. failure in the hitv returns to the farm. One day Dick sees a sign offering the plant and goodwill for the "Citizen" for sale. He borrows some money and buys the newspaper, and as an editor goes at it so strong that he soon becomes a power in the little town. Dick then gets on? hack and in his paper tells the people they need a new postmaster. He also runs for M ayor against his own father. Dick withdraws from the contest for Mayor in favour of his father, and induces the Government to build a new post office and retain Jordan. "The Grassville Girls" is a fine Western comedy by the Ess a nay Company. Eclair Journal and Pathe Gazette will supply the latest topical events; while some .fine educational studies will include vSteel Making, The Life of a Heron, and Scenes in London. Several fine comedi?s include "The Snipe" and "TAveedlerlum as a Commercial Traveller." There will he a Derformance as usual to-morrow (Good Friday) when an extra drama will he shown.
