MW Zealand forecast. , WELLINGTON, Last Night. The ItevY D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening wired as follows: Strong northerly gales -prevailed and increased to gale fcl'ce in many parts-southward of Neiv Plymouth and ■ Castlepoint. Unsettled and cloudy weather mis predominated,, with scattered rain* heavy on i-junday night on the W*.sfc Coast and in southern districts of the South Island. A low barometric pressure now exists in the *Outh.. Indications are for strong westerly winds, veering t(s southerly for a short time in and .south of Cook ' Strait. Squally, changeable and temporarily colder weather is probable, with, heavy showers in most parts and some snow on higher levels in ,the south. Barometer will rise soon.
