STRANGE SUICIDE.

OF A POSTAL OFFICIAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. William Wadham, a single man, aged thirty-five, a storeinan at the Post Office, was found 'lying dead at the .bottom of the lift well of the storeroom at nine o'clock this morning. An investigation showed that Wadliam apparently fixed a piece of wire to a beam at the top of the liftwell, fastened the other end round his neck, stood over the lift opening on the top floor, and then shot himself thi'ough the .month. A revolver with three undischarged cartridges and one dtisoharged, was found en the top floor. Wadham is said to have been worrying over the Civil Sendee examination.
