MINING TROUBLE
THREATENED STRIKE
(Received Last Night. 11.30 o'clock.) LONDON, February 26.
The Northumberland miners have asked the Miner's Federation Executive. what support it is prepared to give in the event of their ballot favouring a strike against the three shifts system, which ia ?lie outcome of the ' Eight Hours' Act. Mr Straker, secretary of the Miners' Association, declares that a national strike is out of the question, ay,tho funds are depleted. The Federation might cive sufficient support to keen '.the Northumberland miners on -strike.
