The overseer was instructed to engage a man to cut all overhanging trees on _ Higli street, and trim them to a height' ol nine feet clear from the footpath, and charge costs with 10 per cent- atided to owners or occupiers.. The attention of the ranger is to be drawn to the .numbers of'stock wandering round the. streets at night. Notice of motion was given to move, at next meeting of the Council that an estimate hn procured for the.' work of reducing the Broadway footpath to 12ft, kerbing. channelling and metalling the nath. and two rews of trees planted the full length- of the road. It was decided to hold a special meeting on Monday, March 10th. to certify to the district electors' roll. It was reoorted new ferro-concreto bridge on the Dal field road would he completed hy April Ist.
