WAIPOUA SALE. - Messrs-James'Macintosh and Co. report having held their usual weekly , s ale in their Waipoua (Masterton) saleyards on February 26th, when they offered » total yarding of 5100 sheep and about 40 head of cattle. Messrs Da lget.v and Cb,, Ltd., report having 'held their usual snip at Sohvav yesterday, when they offered a 'yarding,-'of 4000 .sheep 'of all classes. The sale all'through was very satisfactory, and at- the end of "the (lay only two small nens of lambs vwcturned out . unsold. A large mi ruber of buyers were in attendance, nnd bidding for all lines of good young ewes and wethers was keen, and prices recorded were well up to the late market rates. Lambs were rather, dull at .sale, and prices for this elsis* of •stock were rather in favour of buyers. Our special entry, on account or Messrs Barton Bros., and Read and Harris,^came foward in good -order, and a- -total clearance was made of both lines. • The Mataikona Hock- are recognised as being good doing sheep, and always command considerable attention when offered for «'ale i.-i Mas-;' terton.
