BOMB OUTRAGE

WRECKING THE CHANCELLOR'S HOUSE. MRS PAtNKHUHST EXPLAINS. (Received Last Night, 9.35 o'clock.) LONDON, February 20. The Hon. D. Lloyd George's house which was destroyed by an exploded bomb, cost £2OOO, and was intended for a week-end golfing cottage. As the building was unfurnished the loss falls upon the contractors. The servants' wing was wrecked. The woman made a mistake, and placed the bombs in the upper rooms, otherwise the walls would have collapsed. Twelve workmen arrived tvienty minutes after the explosion. If the candle .which exploded the bomb bad been an inch longer their lives would have been endangered. The Hon Winston Churchill, Sir Rufus Isaacs and Sir Reginald MeKenna are members of the Walton Golf Club.

A staff of men have been patrolling the heath clay and night. Mrs Pankhurst, speaking at Cardiff, amid uproar admitted that a woman blew up tho Chancellor, because they wanted to wake him up.
