POLITICS ON THE WEST COAST.
It would seem as though the recent visit" to the West Coast of the Hon. F. M. B. Fisher has caused quite a reversal of political feeling in the electorates which have so long pinned their faith to the flag of discredited Liberalism. The reports of Mr Fisher's meetings show that he wss received 1 with unbounded enthusiasm wherever he went. And now we find Mr John Colvin, an ex-Minister, with Mr W. G. McDonald, endeavouring to bring the wanderers back to the fold. On Wednesday night Mr Colvin addressed a-meeting at Westport. .The Press Association says there was a "fairly large attendance." That means, of course, that the old-time crowd was missing. Then we are told that a vote of confidence in the Liberal regime was carried, "but very few voted." What a crushing blowto the "Liberal" regime! The vote of confidence was practically negatived by the silence of those present. The "Liberal" regime is as dead as Julius Caesar.
