TARATAHI SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale in their Taratahi yards yesterday, when they offered a very , good yarding of sheep and. cattle, the former entry comprising 2000 and the latter 400 head. The attendance of buyers was most satisfactory, and bidding all through the sale was keen with the result that at the end of the day practically the whole yarding was disposed of. We had some really good sheep forward from Messrs H. Hawtin, T. Anderson, Broadbent, Cruickshank and T. Ho.bson, and prices for lines offered on account of these clients , were up to full market rates. Twotooth ewes and wethers on account of Mr H. Hawtin made 15s and other lines sold at from 13s to 14s 10d. F.M. ewes 12s, 2 and 4-tooth ewes 12s to 14s 6d, forward shorn lambs lis 9d, good shorn lambs 9s 6d, shorn lambs (small) Gs 9d. forward ewes.' 32s 7<l to 14s Gd, Romney rams 1 to 2gns. Our entry of cattle was comprised mostly of good weaners, about 200 head coming forward, and prices realised were satisfactory, and the whole varding was disposed of under the hammer at prices ranging from 25s to 32s 6d for heifers, and from 20s to 2Ss for steers.
