Levin and Co., Ltd., report as' following on their sale on Friday, 14th inst: \Ve held our fortnightly sale today, when we offered 4500 sheepskins, 600 hides and calfskins, and a quantity of Tallow and horsehair. Wool—■ Sold at last quotations. Skins —The skin market advanced all round to the extent of a i-d per lb oil best sorts. We quota: Halfbreds and lino crossbreeds BJd to 9.id, medium and coarse crosshreds Bid to B;]d, quarter to half wools 6d to 7£d, dead skins 5-id to 7 Ad, lamb skins (id to 7.]. d, green pelts 3s fxl to 4s 3d, green lambs 3s 4d to 3., 9d. Tallow —Form ; parcels in shipping order £2B .10s; tins £2O to £25 ss; rough fat £lB. Horsehair—ls to Is 10id per lb. Horns —3s to 16s per 100. Tails —Is Sid per doz. Hides — The hide n.f.rket showed an advance •)t Id on heavies, whilst medium and other weights showed an improvement of id to ;]d per lb. We quote: ();; hides (heavy) 9|d to 103 d, ox hides (medium) 9d to 9i,d, ox hides (light) Sd to 9!d, cow hides 8d to 9-Jd, cut and flippy 6£d to 8-Jd, stag and bull hides 6d to 6jHl. yearlings 8d to 10-Jd, calf best 12d to 13-Jd. calf medium lOd to 12d, calf cut and slippy 6d to lid, horse hides (heavy) 8s Od to 12s fid t horse, hides (light) o,s to 9s.
