HEAVY FLOODS
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE. (Received February 15, 10.20 a.m.) ADELAIDE. February 15. A rainstrom did extensive damage in South Australia'to railways, roads, bridges, and private property. Critchley. the driver of a derailed train, was washed away and drowned. •The body was recovered suspended to a tree seven miles distant. VICTORIA'S EX PERI ENCE. (Received February 15, 10.25 a.m.) MELBOURNE, February 15. The western portion of Castie.maine is flooded and unapproachable, and the southern portion has been cut off through the creek overflowing. Much damage hay been done to low lying houses. Three inches of rain fell at Bendigo, where business places and private houses were flooded.
