AUSTRALIAN CHAM PI ON S HIP. WON BY PADDOX. (Received Last Niglit, 5.5 o'clock.) SYDNEY, .February 16. In the Australian Sculling Championship, Paddon beat Felton by twenty-five lengths. ' Tho water and weather, were favourable. ' It wa.s a good race for a mile and a half, where Felton was leading, but he rowed himself out, and Faddon, forging ahead, won easily. Time, 21min 12sec. Felton declared that he had no excuse to offer. lio was in the pink of condition ) and was beaten by a better man. PEARCE SAILS FOR ENGLAND. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) SYDNEY, February 16. Pearce, accompanied by his trainer, Priddle, has sailed for England to row Ernest Barry for the world's sculling championship. He had a great send-off.
