THE WOOL SALES.

Some comment has I>ecn made in the press of the Dominion at the defective organisation of the wool sales that have recently been held at various centres. A Hawke's Bay farmer considers that the sales have become tonheavy, and have cot out of hand, with the result that the producers have .differed. Tt is maintained that sufficient facilities have not been offered the buyers to examine the wool, and. consequently they have not been in a position to correctly appraise its value. The disparity in the nrices obtained at the respective -sales, would certainly indicate that there is room for investigation. The ouestion is one that rests- entirely with thr% WoolBrokers' Association. This body has already done much to improve +b e storing accommodation. and to provide for adequate mean* of transport. Possibly it will see its way clear, in the interests of the farmers, to so arrange the dates that there will be no reason for complaint on the score of slumming.
