The picture ol the vSwimming Gala on Amiivors'ary D;i\ proved a very popular item, wellknown laces being well applauded. "Monto Christo'' again proved a. good item —the story of the results of a rash visit to Napoleon by a young man of those times being well-known to many. "In a Hen of Lions" is a. popular subject, being a circus story and containing ,son:e very line acts in trapeze work and an act with lions. "Juan ami Juanita" was a. rather exciting railroad drama by tlio Lubm Company. ''Adopted" was a plaintive story by Selig, being the tale of an adopted child and his alter lite. "!)r Brian Pellie and the Secret Despatches" provided tin* exciting ioature of the series. Several lino comedies included "Air Stout Goes Out to Dine," "Ktinnicus and his Porter," and "He Hack at Three." '.I he best of a goodly lot of scenes were In South Wales and Across the Dolomites. On 'Saturday the change of programme will include ''The \ oiled Prophet." a mysterious drama, and "Nellie, tlio Lion Tamer," a otciis story. There will bo a matinee at 2..'50 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.

"The Burglar's Dilemma," an A.IS. exclusive drama, which purports to give a. representation of the seamy fiido of "The Third Degree"—the New York police process—is tlio premier picture on tho programme to be presented to-night at the Town Hall. Tlio plot, which is very capably acted throughout, tells a story' of the serious trouble which a ni-ni brought about by lus jealousy. Tlio Selig Company supplies a- capital domestic drama, entitled "The Brand illottev." Another liuo picture is tho Nordisk 2000 ft drama "hi a. Den of TJons." Other good pictures aro "The Puller's Revenge" (comic), "Williams' Weekly, Gaumont Graphic, Scut-ar: (scenic). "Dr Brian Pelle and tin* .Secret Despatches," Lean Year Elopement" and others. Tlio matinee will take place as usual on 'Saturday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock.
