It is officially announced that New Zealand is underwriting a three million 4 per cent loan, repayable between 1943 and 1963. Six months' interest is payable on August Ist next. "OVERDOING IT." DEPRESSING THE MONEY MARKET. (Received February 13, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, February 12. Westminster Gazette says that New Zealand is overdoing it. The money market did not expect that colony to demand anything like three millions. The natural effect has'been to depress tJie market. SUBSCRIBERS' BONUS. SOME OF THE UNDERWRITERS ARE SHY. (Received February* 13. 9.5 a.m.) t LONDON. February 12 The New Zealand loan payments will be spread over four months, tins, with accrued interest, making the bonus to subscribers about 275. Tho Westminster Gazette states that some of the usual underwriters are refusing to underwrite the loan
DECIDED DISAPPROVAL
