NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. Tlie Rev. J3. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following:— Winds. —Westerly, strong to gale, northward of Kawhia and Napier; heavy gale veering to southerly elsewhere. Barometer. —Unsteady, but with a rising tendency everywhere soon. Warning signals for westerly gales arc exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen, Tiritiri, and East Cape, but for southerly at Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit, and Foulwind, and at Stephen Island, Nugget Pint, and Centre Island. Weather.—Very boisterous, rain probable generally, hail and sleet in the southern districts, now on higher levels, and colder weather following. Very stormy to-night in the Straits.
