WAIRARAPA PRESBYTERY
I -The Wairarapa Presbytery met vestorday in Ivnox Hal!. Masterton, there !being present—lie vs. ,j. S. Young (moderator), E. C. Tennait, Bawden-Harris, T. Thompson, A. T. Thompson; Rattray, Ralph, Messrs H. T. Wood, J. Bruce. and M. McGregor. The Presbytery welcomed tlio Rev. J. Patoroni. The dale fixed for tlio visit of Dr Kirk, missionary from Canton, was deemed unsuitable, and the clerk was instructed to apply for another date. A committe of the consisting of tho Rev. K. 0. Tennot, Bawden-Harris ( A. T. Thompson ;>nd elders, was appointed to go to Pongaroa next week to be present, at the session there. An application from Mr Lend rick SiV'Master, of Masterton, to bo received on the home mission staff, was heartily received, and it was decided to recommend, tho application to the Church Extension" Committee. Tho visit of -Mr. Eraser Barton, agent of the Youth of the Church Committee, was announced for February 16th.
