CORRESPONDENCE
THE SLAUGHTERMEN. (To the Editor.) Sir, —I shall not condemn "Small Fanner." Probably ho considers Inin.self justified in opening his exhaust valve and pouring forth his venom. through the columns of your paper. Still, it goes without saying, wo must at all times respect the opinion of those who oppose, us. I hope tho next time ''Small Farmer" lifts his pen to try and hido the fact, that the actions of the Farmers' Union Executive have (owing to the more intelligent farmer having taken a "tumble") caused discord and dissension in their ranks, he will retire from thoeontroversy as a man worthy or tho.name of small fanner and not do as he has done on this occasion. Let him remember that the of servitude are forged by those who humble themselves before the powers tliafc be. ; The longer "Small Farmer"' is prepared t« dance to the piping of such irrosponsiblos a* Wilson and Co.. the longer ho will suffer tho chains of servitude. —I am, etc., BOD MoRAR
