CONTINUE THEIR OPERATIONS. MORE SUFFRAGISTS SENTENCED (Received January 30, 9.55 a.m.) 'LONDON, January 29. The Suffragettes smashed windows in Regent and Oxford Streets, Charing Cross and other centres. 'Three female and one male Suffragists, who have been supporting Mrs Despard, have been sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment. SECOND DIVISION" NOT appreciated. (Received January 30 8 a.m.) LONDON, January 29. Mrs Drummond, a Suffragette, who was arrested for attempting to enter St. Stephen's Hall, has been sentenced to a fortnight'?; imprisonment in the second division. On hearing the verdict -she exclaimed: "For shame; yon mean the first 'division. There will be a hunger strike." | Several others received similar esntences. SUFFRAGETTE BURNS HERSELF (Received January 30, 11 a.m.) LONDON, January 29. ; Grace B\yd>idge,--a Suffragette, was endeavouring to place phosphorus in a letter box, . when the phosphorus dropped on her arm and burnt it. She had to be medicall'- treated. Brought before the Court, she was remanded. MRS DESPARD RELEASED. (Received January 30, 2 p.m.) LONDON January '29.
