' Messrs F. C. Tumor and J- PXowes left Eketahuna for laupo yesterday on a fishing excursion. The Prime Minister (Hon. W. F. Ma-ssey) returned to Wellington from his northern tour yesterday. Mr J. Farrell is at present in Masterton, making for the appejirancQ of tlio Ricli Quic Wallingford" Company in the Town. Hall on February 10th. , The death occurred in Masterton Yesterday, at the advanced age of 76 years, of Mr George Arnold, father of Mrs J W. Blackman, of this town. The interment will be a private one. Dr Palmer, of Featherijton, accompanied by Mrs and Miss Palmer, who ihave been on a twelve months' tour, are expected back this w&ek, having left Liverpool for Australia per s.s. Somerset on December 7th last. While awav D r , Palmer spent several months studying in the hospitals in London and on the Continent. The party also toured through England and Europe, visiting Brussels, Paris, Southern Germany, Venice, Florence, and Rome.
