■MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of.the Wairarapa P. and A. Society was held in Cartertoji on Friday afternoon, Mr E. Eagle, junr., presiding over a good attendance of members. A letter was received from the Agricultural Department in reference to experimental plots, and the president explained that there had been u slight misunderstanding, tlie Department's offer being for autunui, not spring sowing.—It way decided to appoint a committee to deal with agricultural experimental plots, and to carry out the suggestions of the Department's officer. ■ '* The secretary of the Manawatu Society wrote enclosing dates for the Rational Dairy Show, which will be held on June 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th, 1913. The secretary of the Carterton Tradesmen's Association wrotfl thanking' the Society for assisting to have .Carterton established a regular stock centre.

Mr David Buchanan, of Taikat-a-. huna', wrote thanking the Society 'for courtesy shown at the last show, and suggested'in, reference'to'the'dry cow section at the show that in the event of a cow or heifer having l calved between date of entry and time of show fthe should be eligible to be transferred to milking classes.—lt wa« decided that the recommendation bo favourably considered
