. PRACTICALLY AT A STANDSTILL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCTIURCH, Last Night. According to men who reached town to-day from Lake Coleridge,'! work- 000 the tunnel contract in connection with the hydrc-tfertricaj installation is practically at a standstill. A large number of employed on the contract reached town to-day, 'and others are "expected to-morrow. Reports have been prepared by officers of the Public Works Department, dealing with' the progress of the contract for the construction of the tunnel, and these will be forwarded to the Minister of Public Works to assist him in coming to a decision as to whether or not the contract shah be determined! •
