To-night, after finishing work, Charles De Thierry, a single man, employed by the Harbour Board pio-cee-ded to his - whare on the breakwater, and took. a. long pull at . a bottle of carbolic-acid, mistaking it for beer. He was conveyed to the hospital, -where he lies in a senous condition.
