FARMERS MUTUALS
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. A meeting was held to-day of the Wellington Provincial Farmers' Union Mutual Fire Insurance Society. The report showed that £1(5,600 worth of proposals had been received since October 10th. The total insurance risks now amounted to £204,507. No claim:' for fires bad been received during last quarter, aid only £2OO had been paid out since the beginning of the financial year, April Ist. A marked increase in support by tanners had been shown, and the report stated that the success,of the tanners' niutuals in New Zealand was an assured fact.
