LIBERALISM AND LABOUR.
The N.Z. Times thinks that, "Liberalism" and "Labour," which have net been playing -speaks, as it were, lor a considerable time, will hs> sympathetically united before the next election. The Times .should know. It appears to have done its part in bringing about the sympathetic union by unceremoniously dropping the "Labour Page" that has figured so prominently during the last few months. It is now devoting its attention to unearthing mare's ne-st-.s concerning the Reform Party, and to making insinuations of a more or less base character. . Tf it will only continue on these lines, "Liberalism" as it is espoused by the N.Z. Times, will lie a long time dead, and the sympathetic union will be in the dim and distant future.
