INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED

WELLINGTON, Last Night

About 6 o'clock this evening a firo was discovered in tho after transom of tho steamer Arahura, lying at the Queen's wharf. Tho Firo Brigade was summoned, and in about half an hour tho blaze was extinguished. Tho damage to the fittings and some of. the bedding stored in the transom is estimated at about £4O.

Three hours later the Brigade was summoned again for a fire in the saloon cabin, nearly a midship, about £o damage being done. [nffendriarism is now suspected.

Tho vessel's running will not bo affected hv the fires.
