DUNEDIN, Last Night
The weather was unfavourable today for the cricket match between the South Melbourne team and twentytwo players representing the Central District Association. Heavy rain fell overnight,' and" before' play 'started a' hailstorm was experienced. South Melbourne made 189 in their first innings, Giller G3, Kyle 34 and Kenny 33 being the chief scorers. The Central District made 154. for 17 wickets in the second innings, F. Usher 51, R. Edie 22, G. Edie 16 being chief scorers. The innings was then declared closed, leaving the visitons to get 97 to win. The visitors made 94 for 4 wickets. Scott 37, Deas 29 being the chief scorers. The match was therefore drawn.
