ANNUAL CONFERENCE. ! (By Tehoroph—Prm Association.) BLENHEIM, Last Night. The New Zealand Cycling and Athletic Union Conference was resumed ( to-day. The following officers were_ I elected: President. Johh. Kennedy, Geraldine; vice-presidents, D. F. McKay (Dunedin), J. Clarke (New Plymouth). W. S. Clarrender (Hastings'); committee, A. Hansey (Taranaki). I. Gilfedder (Auckland), A. T. Fisher (Blenheim). J. F. Wilson (West Coast),, J. Collingwood (Feilding). The executive conferred with the representatives of the Hiberian i-sports'Society, with a view to : a e<*ttlement of the Campion incident, the' outcome of which was the suspension of the Society by the Union.. It was eventually decided ■ o divide the prize • money in the dispute equally among i Darby, Carnpion and Leahy, the first \ three 'in the race, the other moneys . being snlit up among the next three i men. The suspension of the Biher{nian Society was removed. Mr Hc"sen (Taranaki) proposed a new rnlo I that no secretary or other official shall • compete in any event except the committee's race. —Carried. I A motion to meet bi-annnnlly instead of anmially, wa& lost. The Otago delegate's proposition that an entry by wire be binding on the competitors was parried. Auckland was selected for the next conference A numhe.r of minor alterations were made in the rules. A remit from North Canterbury to alter the southern boundary line to take in all districts north of Ashburton, and to reduce the South Canterbury boundary accordingly was strongly resented by ' South Canterbury, andf <Meat«-d. The Wairarapa Centre brought nuder notice the conduct of threi officials of th<? Martinhorongh Caledonian .Society, in connection- with their recent sports gathering. The watW | was left to the incomimr executive to , investigate. Tim Wellington Centre j was granted .-fifi 9* fo>- reorganising nurposes. A uckland's attempt, to have the sum of 9k owinsr to th<* Un'on -«- bated \vp.% not successful. North Canterbury was granted! £3 10s to i>e. lifted at tho end of the year if up-' cessary fo~ reqrganwinp purposes.
