STRUCK BY LIGHTNING

(Received Last Night. 8.15 o'clock.) SYDNEY. January 7.

The Chilian barque Belfast, which left Newcastle* on December 3rd, coalladen, for Callao, has been towed in to port, in a crippled condition. "When 800 miles from Newcastle, on Dot-ember 15th, she was struck by lightning. The foretop gallant, main and royal masts were splinieml. while the other masts were damaged. She returned to Sydney for impairs.
