WELSH DISESTABLISHMENT
PROGRESS OF THE BILL

LONDON, January 7. In the House of Commons) clause 1.3 of the Welsh Disestablishment Bill was passed under the guillotine, after the rejection of amendments intended to facilitate the reeonstitution of the Church after disestablishment.
The Right Hon Reginald MeKenna emphasised the fact that the Bill left the Church entire freedom to develop oni'-s own lines.
