Auckland carried the -score to 279, in reply to Wellington's 20. Hemus hii up 85 in excellent style. Wellington opened disastrously in the second inning's, losing 5 wickets lor 11 runs. Oliff took all the 5 wickets, and received a great ovation when returning to the pavilion. SOUTH MEI.BOURXF, V. CANTERBURY. CHIirSTCI-IU.RCH. Last Night. The match between South Melbourne and Canterbury was resumed to-day in fine, weather. The visitors continued their first innina'S. and made the runs required for the loss of seven wickets. Kenny (52) and MoCormack being theh chief scorers. Canterbury were <li-'posed of in then- second innings for 91, ma-king their total 424.
