CORRESPONDENCE.
BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.
(To the Editor.) . Sir, —-.Would you allow me, space for . a few remarks re the Bible m schools question. Parents will never object to good wholesome food for their j children, then, why object tneir reading the Word of .God, wh'.eh is the ' only food required for etc-rial life.. All right thinking people k<iow wo ' iave got to die,. Leave creed alone, and just read a chapter wlvn the schools own. To iny mind, i* is hotter to store the young mi id with that, "in preference to those fairy titles, which Ave all know are lies ;iml which have' a tendency to tench them that they cannot believe anything ■they read. I think it Avon Id have a very much more elevating effect . <:n the nation as a whole. When I went to school, our teacher always •opened the'school with prayer, liion wo rend: a chapter out of she Bible. Verse about. God's Word can licVer J?arm any one. If ,vou wario a successful nation, teach the children to f love God's W,ord. That is the great secret of true strength for the nation. I ajn, e{<\. , * • A MOTH-EIl.
