THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. SPECIAL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME "Shanghaied," the present star turn at the ever-popular ThompsonPayne's Electric Theatre, continues to draw good houses, and last night was screened to another full house. This programme will bo shown for the lasttime to-night. , The best of tho other lot of fine dramas are "Broncho Bill," "The School-teacher and the Waif," "An Unswen Enemy" and "Firo and Straw." "Tho comedies are especially good, while the scenic and educational portion is very acceptable, the bast being a splendid film of tho Bedham boys at figure drill. To-morroW a. free matinee will be.given to the children and the management will be pleased to see all the little ones along to enjoy themselves. On. Wednesday night there will bo aspecial holid'ay. change ( the bill including another 3000 ft ' special by the Nordisk Co. It is a tale of a mos* sensational character, and is laid on the foundation of a woman's love, showing scenes of gipsy life and the fascination of a courtier for a charming gipsy girl. This star turn is ably supported by another long special, a 2000 ft drama, by the Gaumont C 0... entitled "A Lion Let Lousa." This $s indeed a masterpiece of cinematograph art, which is greatly added to by tJhe. appearance on tho scene of the king of beasts. In commenting on this film the London Daily Times said: "The limit of cinematography lias been passed," so natrons can look forward to' a good night's entertainment, with a programme containing these two specials.
