WAIRARAPA ATTRACTIONS. Christmas Day will, as usual, be observed as a close holiday in Masterton, and special services jrill be he. in the various churches. On Boxing Day, tho chief attrac tion will be the Amateur Athlei Club sports, to oe held on the Park Oval. This gathering promises to be an unqualified success. For those desiring a trip to the country, the sports' meetings at Mauriceville, Mangatainoka, Pongaroa and Martin borough will afford the necessary outing. The sporting communityw ill be catered for by the Taratahi-Oarterton Racing Club, with its meeting at C'lareville. The train arrangement are suitable, and there should be a large gathering of sports.. The locijl howling green will be pa fbnised by bowlers, and the tennis courts will also probably be well patronised.
