MEETING OF, DISTRICT BOARD, 1 The Wellington Land Board held its monthly meeting on ThursdayMr T. N. Broderick, Crown Lands Commissioner, presided, the other members present being Messrs J. Dawson, H. T. Ellingham, J. Genrgetti and W. McLellan. j TRANSFERS. - I The following transfers were approved :J. H. G. Duffy and E. A. Harrington, sublease of section 18, •block 1, Mangaone;. . F. Dennehy >.-•■■ Tom Checkley, section 17, block 1., Puketoi. | 'The application of "N, and P. Rosen beck to transfer section 15, block 4, Tararua, to P. Dougherty was reconsidered and approved. J T. Henderpon applied to transfer j section .56, Pahiatu.q. West V.S., to H. Gregory, and it was resolved to decline. I The hearing of the application of H. .Burling, juhr., to transfer gection 6, block 3, Puketoi, tot). Tbomas, was further postponed till next meeting. | The Under-Secretary for Lands submitted .■-. draft clause for insertion in Crown leases to provide for rifle . ranges for defence purposes.—lt was postponed till next meeting. .T. G. Brechin, lessee of education reserve, for the board's permission, as required by section 8 of his lease to effect certain improvements on the weti>n. The lger's report heinp satisfactory the.' application was approved. It was resolved to issue to M. J. Gallagher a permit to occupy lot 7 of section 101, block 1, Otahoua (education reserve), at a rental of £l2 10.s per aniiuta. without oompensatioi? for improvements and determinable at any time. An anblication was receiVcd from Koliejft. Hara for a lease of Cm-"* lands in blocks 0 and 10, Mikimiki — S.D. —It was revived to inform Irhn that the land was not open for flection at present.
