COOLIE LABOUR

FOR THE' ARGENTINE.

WELLINGTON, Last Night. . Thirty-seven Indiana, who arrived by the Makura yesterday, were the subject of a lawsuit in Fiji in connection with an engagement to work in the Argentine. A difficulty was experienced in conveying them from .Fiji to tho Argentine. The coolies sued Mr Berkeley for tho return of certain moneys, but tho Court held that Mr Berkeley only acted as solicitor, not as broker. Being prohibited immigrants here, they were not allowed to land, and they were tran- y shipped to the Navua, which is proceeding direct from Wellington to Fiji. There they will be transhipped for the Argentine.
