NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. » (By Telegraph — Pre** Association.) | WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev D, C. Bates, of the Me + so- / rolcgical Office, tnis evening issued the following:— The barometer kas been unsteady, but ha-a fallen again to-day. Strong westerly winds have predominated, with changeable weatlior generally, and some showers in parts. Present ' indications are for strong and squally northerly and westerly winds, and decreasing atmospheric pressure; but the. barometer is duo to rise after about 24 hours, when tho winds are likely to veer to the south, for a short time. Unsettled and cloudy weather, with rain, is probable* on the I West Coast and in the south, and ( increasing cloudiness, preceding rain, , in many parts elsewhere.
