OARHIK MOORE. Much has been read, written and hoard of Miss Carrie Moore, the An-glo-Australian musical comedy actress, and the fact that she is to appear at the Town Hall next Wednesday evening ha,s aroused ninch interest. Miss Mooro is recognised; as being one of the world's stars on the musical comedy stage of to-day, and was leading lady to J. O. Williamson for seven years prior to her departure for England. Peliaps the two best pieces the Australian priblie have soon her in were "Our Miss Gibby" and the "Merry Widow." She achieved great popularity with her audiences. On the present tour she will he seen for the first time here in the musical comedietta "Chips," a part which is exactly suited to Miss Moore's stylo of acting; in fact the production of "Chips, or a \nsit to the Studio," must be considered to constitute a notable event in the Entertainment world. It is of the best kind of light frivolity, full of spirit, ludicrous complications and laughable situations, added to pleasant and original musical items. An excellent company has been engaged to support this popular favourite when in addition to the performance of the comedietta, a caried and miscellaneous vaudeville 'programme will be presented by the full strength of the company, including some of the latest English successes created by Miss Carrie Moore at the Tivoli and Hippodrome theatres, London. The box plan ig now open at the Dresden.
