JAMES—HA XTON

A pretty wedding was celebrated in Knox Church, Masterton, yesterday, when Mr William L. James, late of Wellington, was united to Edith Emma, second daughter of Mr W.

Taxton, of Masterton. The bride, who was attired in a cream sorgo costume, was attended by Miss Lila Haxton, dressed in cream poplin ; Miss Zilma Haxton and Miss Zilma Woodham, both dreased in. .white, with pink ribbons, and carrying bouquets of pink and white sweet peas. The bride was given away by her father. Mr Gordon Ch-allis \wis best man. The ceremony was performed rby the Rev A. T. Thompson, B.A. After the wedding, a reception wan held at the Arcadia Tea Rooms. The newly-married couple left by the afternoon train for the south.

She wore the orthodox veil and orange hlossonui, and was attended by her sister Trene o,ticl Miss Don's Banks, sister of the bridegroom.
