RULES AND REGULATIONS. \Events run under rules of New Zealand Athletic Union. Permits may be obtained: from.Mr W. Gillespie, Masterton, or from the Secretary. Winners will be required to produce licenses before the prize' money is paid out. No nomination will foe accepted on any account without the proper entrance fee. Nominations for 4, 5 6 7, 8, 9. 10, 12, 13, 16, and 17 close with the Secretary (Geo. W. West) at Pongaroa on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1912, at 8.30 p.m. Nominations MUST be accompanied by cash or postal notes. All performances for the past two years must be given, also starts and positions at finish of each event. If no performance during last two years, four last performances must bo stated. Handicaps will appear in the Wairarapa Age on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14,1912. Acceptances for events mentioned and entrance for all other events dose with the Secretary 20 minutes before the event. Protests, in writing accompanied by 2s 6d, which will be forfeited if the protest.is considered frivolous or vexatious, must be lodged with the Secretary, within 10 minutes of the race. Protest Committee: Messrs Mclntyre, McKenzie and the Secretary. Three starters or no race, four starters or no second prize, five starters or no third prize. A special Silver Cup will be donated by Mr J. D. Milner (to be won twice in succession or throe times at _ intervals) to winner of event No. 6 (.Handicap Chop).
