TARATAHI SALE

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report'on their Taratahl sale as follows: A good entry of .sheep met with,keen competition, and we had a total clearance at auction at prices in advance of present sales reports. Only a medium yarding of cattle came forward, all young stock, of which sold readily. Dairy cows springing a nd in milk were rather neglected. With the exception of three pens, however, all lines changed hands at the following list of prices: Sheep, small mixed -2ths 12s to 12s 9d, fat and forward maiden ewe? lis Bd, do 4-th ewes and wethers 10s Id, fat' woolly ewes 20« 9d, 12month steers £2 15s to £3, 15-month steers to £3 10s. 12 to 15-month heifers £2 19s to £3 3s, 2-yr empty heifers £1 to £4 9s. forward empty cows £4 to £4 12s 6d bulls £2 10s to £3, weaner pigs 14s 6d. A few broken and unbroken hacks sold at from £5 5s to £6.
