(Our Own Correspondent.) ■A- deputation from the local Golf Club yesterday, conferred with a committee from the Taratahi-Carter-ton Racine Club, iu reference to leasing the club's groifnds for golf links. After due consideration it was decided to allow the' golf club the use of the grounds for links next season. .., Carterton bowlers play Martinborough at Carterton on Thursday next in the Booth Cup contests. The finishing touches are now being put on. the new premises erected here for the hank of New South Wales, and will be in occupation towards the end of the month. Mr Brown. Government Poulty Expert, is to deliver a lecture in Carterton shortly, under the auspice* of the Farmers' Union,
