A SETTLER'S DEATH
SHOT-THROUGH THE -HEART;-' The police in Masierton,„ wei;e. advised by telephone last evening, that Mr Robert Dickson, a settler, living on Cleland's road, Mauriceville, had been found dead in his house, -with a gunshot wound «i liis breast, and the weapon lying on hia body. Dickson, ■who was between fifty and sixty years of age, and single, was last seen by a neighbour about « week ago. The condition of the body indicated that death had occurred some days ago. The circumstances have been reported to the District Gen-one*," and an inquest will be held to-day.
