W.F.C.A. The Wairararui Farmers' Co-Opera-tive Association, Ltd., Wellington, report as follows: The first main wool sale of the season wan held in the Town Hall on Friday last. Thorn was a very largo attendance of buyers, and considerable competition. Combined catalogues tailed 11,000 bales, and very few lots were passed. The ran go of prices wr.-. ■ as-follow:.-Fin© x bred and Itormney lOd to 113 rd, medium x bred 93d tolOJd, coarse and inferior x bred 9§d» to 10d, bellies and pieces 7<i to B£d. The next wile will bo held on January Bth; J913, for. which the catalogues close on December 31st. James Macintosh and Co. The first sale of the season was held! in the Town Hall, Wellington, on Friday, when a total catalogue of nearly 11*000 bales was submitted by all thebrokers. Our sale was attended by over 60 buyers, representing Bradford,. Continental, U.S.A. and local' houses. Competition was exceedingly keen for all sorts. On prices paid for coarse x breds at the 1 corresponding «ale lastyear; prices wer<v.up'2d per lb and 1-Jd' for fine and medium x bred*. Therewas a very good demand for coarse lustrous wools of good length. Generally speaking the wool opened up dry and iight. though in many csvses 'seedydue no -doubt to .the inclement weather preventing shearing.
