ORDERLY ROOM INQUIRY
Lieut Wilson. Officer Commanding the "0" Company Territorials, will hold an orderly room inquiry to-night in reference to the incident of last week The inquiry will probably not bo open to the press. The editor of the Age on Tuesday last addressed the following communication to LieutPurdv Aeting-Adiutant of the district'"Rir,—l understand that an orderly room inquiry is to bo held on. Friday evening next into the incident" which occurred at the Masterton Drill Hall on the evening of November 29th. As it seems to me that the interests of the defence system would be the better served by publicity being given the whole circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident, I make formal application to you for permission to bo represented at the inquiry. In the event of your not feeling disposed to grant this permission on your own authority, T should be glad if you could transmit mv request to the proper authorities." so that ,a Ircply may reach mo prior to the holding of the inquiry." Up till last night, no. reply had been received to this communication. Even its receipt had not been acknowledged.
