RULES AND'REGULATIONS. * Events run under rules of New 1 Zealand Athletic Union. Permits may be obtained from Mr W. Gillespie', Masterton, or from the Secretary. Winners will be required to produce licenses before the prize money lis paid out. No nomination will be [ accepted on any account without the proper entrance fee. Nominations for 4, 5 0 7, S, 9. 10, 12, 13, 16, and 17 close with the Secretary (Geo. W. West) at Pongaroa on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1912, at 8.30 p.m. Nominations MUST be accompanied by cash or postal notes. All performances for the past two years must be given, also starts and positions at finish of each event. If no performance during last two years, four last performances must be- stated. Handicaps will appear in the Wairarapa Age on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14," 1912. Acceptances for events mentioned i and entrance for all other events close with the Secretary 20 minutes before the event. Protests, in writing accompanied by 2s 6d, which will be forfeited if the protest is considered frivolous'or vexatious, must ho . lodged with the Secretary, within 10 minutes of the race. Protest Committee: Messrs Mcliityro, McKenzie and the Secretary. Three starters or no race, four starters or no second' prize, five starters or no third prize. A special Silver Cup will be donated by Mr J. I>. Milner (to be won twice in succession or three times at intervals) to winner of event No. • 6 • (Handicap Chop). No Dogs allowed on the ground.
