LONDON, December" 3., The English Railway Companies deny tlio statement of Mr Workden, secretary to the Railway Clerks' Union, in reference to the threatened railway strike. They admit, however, that they are negotiating to secure the passage of an interim measure to carry out the Government's pledge.
